IKEA my new love

Home at last. Ventured out of Maine today to take my oldest daughter shopping for furniture for her new apartment.She is getting married in a little over 2 months! That is a later story. We had to spend 10 hours in the car to shop for four hours. We left at 6 this morning. I will admit that the ADHD mind is comfortable in the car but my ADHD body is not! Fidgit, fidgit, fidgit is most of my exercise in the car. But anytime I can take my mind away from the phone, the laundry or even the dishes it is a big deal. You see my mind finds those things boring, not enough stimulation. When I try to come up with things that will interest me while I do these things, I will not get anything done. I want to do the dishes but while I am trying to do them I will sing, recite poetry, make a mental list, plan my day tommorrow and even invent a new gadget. When I realize that I am not geting anywhere with the task I give up.  Sooooooooo being in the car forces me to try to relax. But the dilema comes because I am not getting the things done I need to! So my mind goes into high gear again.. then I cannot relax. I am almost 54 and I think I relaxed back in 1987! Oh, by the way, IKEA is very stimulating. I could spend all day there. Check it out. My typical day

Is it fair to say by 8:00am I am lost in my own house? We are in the middle of renovating our kitchen so imagine making coffe in the living room, having my whole kitchen in a different room and now I can't find my bike. Oh yea, I do not need my bike,I have to get the mail so I can fold my clothes.  If this sounds confusing It is.This is just the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to a life full of disappointment,trials,hurts,but also spontinaity,fun,joy and love. I have come a long way from my first day of school trying to live up to the expectations of the teachers and the students. Every day is a new day and I try to do something good and thank God for the chance! oooopps gotta go my hair has to be combed!!!
